Coronavirus Information

Thank you!

On behalf of our team at STC Expeditions, we would like to take a moment to thank our incredibly kind and considerate clients - schools in the UK and overseas - for their support over the last few weeks.

There is no doubt about it, everyone in the world is facing huge professional and personal challenges. The tourism industry has been particularly hard hit and as parents and business owners, we have also felt the pressure. It falls on us to make difficult decisions and we are doing the best we can by our clients and employees.

We have received many well wishes and positive feedback from teachers who are also trying to get to grips with remote teaching in the midst of this chaos. A postcard arrived for us last week from a local school crediting our team: ‘‘Just to say we are thinking of you all. You are an amazing team and doing a fab job during this difficult time.’’

Your patience, messages, understanding and small acts of kindness are making things that little bit easier for our team – Thank you.

We hope you remain safe and well and wish you a very happy Easter.

With best wishes,

Adrian and Chris

Contacting STC Expeditions.

Due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, STC Expeditions will be implementing a temporary furlough of certain positions in our team.

For now, should you wish to Contact Us, please do so by Tel: 01392 660056 or write to us at info@thestc.co.uk

Like many other small or large businesses across the UK, we are fortunate to be supported by our government during this challenging time. We are also acutely aware that our colleagues in other parts of the world, who also rely on tourism, may not receive the same level of support. And so, all of us here at STC Expeditions look forward to re-grouping soon and reviving the amazing learning experiences that school expeditions and educational trips offer young people.

Wednesday 1st April, 2020.

First and foremost, STC Expeditions hope that you and your loved ones are keeping well in these challenging times.

Secondly, we would like to reassure you that STC Expeditions remains fully operational and our team is working hard to respond to the global challenges of Covid-19.

STC Expeditions are working closely with schools due to travel this Easter or Summer. On a case by case basis, we have offered a number of options for the school to consider and together, we hope to reach a positive solution that best serves the school community. Please rest assured that any decisions being made are in the best interest of parents and students, who we appreciate in most cases have worked hard to fundraise for their expedition. You are our utmost priority and we are trying to bring some certainty to an uncertain situation and mitigate risk. If they haven’t already, the school will communicate the next steps with you directly.

We will all get through this, and we are therefore continuing the operational planning of most of our trips and doing what we can to support our partners in destinations around the world. We recommend that schools postpone the launch of new trips until the next academic year.

The travel industry is being particularly hard hit by the challenges the world is facing, so looking ahead to travel in 2021-2022 is more important than ever. We look forward to continuing to support those businesses and communities around the world that are reliant on travel for their economic wellbeing.

Like many other businesses, the STC Team is working remotely for the time being and continue to be available for questions. As always, we remain committed to our clients and are very much here to help.

Stay safe.

Thursday 26th March 2020.

The team at STC Expeditions are working hard to respond to the global challenges posed by the outbreak of Covid-19. We are monitoring the ever-changing and unprecedented situation and are currently continuing the operational planning for our summer trips.

We understand that this is a concerning time, as it is for communities around the world who depend upon tourism for their livelihood. STC Expeditions will not be making any hasty decisions and will continue to monitor guidance and advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).

We will stay in close communication with schools and together; we will do our best to keep parents and students updated of any changes.
